Sevilla es de cine

Want a glimpse of the stunning city I’ll get to call home in less than two weeks?

These are from the RTVA documentary series Andalucía es de cine that highlights the wonders of the fabulous Andalucía. If you don’t speak Spanish, don’t worry about the narration and just look at the pretty sights.

See, now you have to come visit me. It’s too gorgeous not to.

I think it’s interesting that these videos, made by Spaniards for Spaniards, seem to highlight the grandeur and modernity of Sevilla, whereas I, and I think most Americans, are more fascinated by the tiny cobblestone streets and charming old buildings of Spain (and Sevilla in particular), sights we’re not used to seeing here in the U.S.

11 days until I leave! It still hasn’t completely hit me.

So envious! I will be in the Apulia region of Italy in late April but I think I need to put Spain on my travel agenda for, maybe, 2013, if I am not too old and decrepit! Love you! Safe travels.
