Travel, La Roja, and California!

It’s been a while, but I wanted to provide a quick update on my past few weeks and what’s coming up for me.

Two weeks ago, I had my last day of teaching at CEIP Azorín, bidding farewell to the teachers and students I grew to love immensely. I also said goodbye to most of my fabulous friends in Sevilla, and then I took off for an epic trip around Central Europe: Wroclaw (Poland), Berlin (Germany), Prague (Czech Republic), Vienna (Austria), Budapest (Hungary), and Bratislava (Slovakia)!

Beautiful Prague by night

The trip was even more wonderful than I imagined it would be, and, of course, I’ll be back to share lots of stories and photos from my travels. I arrived back in Sevilla last night, and, tomorrow morning, I’ll be boarding a plane back to dear old California!

Meanwhile, the UEFA Euro has begun, my third favorite sporting event (after the World Cup and the Olympics), so I’m psyched to watch my beloved Spanish national team kick ass. I watched their first game in Budapest, and tonight I’ll get to cheer along with thousands of other Spain fans right here in Sevilla! ¡Todos con La Roja!

I’m sad to say goodbye to my school, my friends, and this gorgeous city, but instead of dwelling on that sadness, I’m incredibly eager to be home again in roughly 36 hours! Plus, I’ll be back here in my beloved Spain in just a few months! I love my life.

Really looking forward to seeing you on 6/23, if everything falls into place. Too bad you have to hop a plane so soon and head east again just a week after you get back to CA, but I know Cari is looking forward to seeing you. She and I are having dinner together Tuesday evening. Should be fun! See you soon. Love you!

  2. Hi Kirstie! I am so happy that you will soon be home! It seems so long since you were here and you have accomplished so much! Your travels are wonderful! I’m always there in spirit! Looking forward to being with you! I love you!

Wow, that one was one epic trip to end the year with! I hope we’ll be seeing more photos of those places, but, even more importantly, I hope you have a great time back in California. Buen viaje!!
